One of the best bistro pubs I've been to, after the chef died at "Old Timers" of Exeter had been looking for a replacement!. We ordered 2 pizzas and some dirty fries, large portions and good prices, £7 dirty fries could be considered a meal. As mentioned by a complaint, pizza so full of cheese and toppings they just slid off, lovely and what I like to see!. Really impressed will be bringing all the friends and family!.

Just had the most beautiful meal with the family. Just travelled from Essex and was hunting for a pub local to where we are staying that did proper home made grub. Food was so lovely and huge portion sizes! Kids loved there food also which can be tricky to please them both when out! Beer was lovely and lively to. Beautiful pub and paintings around the place. Really did enjoy ourselves. And am absolutely stuffed 😂 thank you guys 😁👍❤️🍺

We live local and know this place for its good food. On this occasion we went with our 3 children and had some pizza which was ok, however our trip was somewhat ruined by some young lads vaping inside. We brought this to the attention of the bar staff as our kids were beginning to complain of the smell and it was just dismissed, shortly after we saw one of the lads at the bar vaping and having a laugh with the staff, this explains why this was dismissed the first time as it was clear they were fine with this. As a family pub with good food we expected better as there is nothing worse than trying to enjoy a meal with the smell of cigarettes or vaping wafting in your faces. We have used this place for a number of staff do's and family functions over the years but after this we will be looking elsewhere as we do not enjoy eating with the smell of vaping in our faces nor do we want our children thinking this is acceptable behaviour. It's a shame they allow this to happen we were not the only people complaining there were a number of other tables that felt the same way. We all left without dessert as we couldn't stand it any longer. Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly with vaping allowed inside.

Food was amazing. The desserts where Brilliant, the puds in the jars are cheesecakes. We all had different burgers and each 5⭐️

The coleslaw was lacking in acidity. Otherwise a serviceable meal in a delightful, yet southern atmosphere. There was cheese on my gammon which seemed odd. Staff were friendly and the outside area was spacious and perfect for an evening soirée.

First look was great, me and my partner came here for lunch, however the experience was not great at all. The venue itself has a lot to offer with space and is nice inside.. my main concern was the quality of food was below par just one exame was the oily overbattered fish. Secondly charging 7 pound for two post mix cola was very pricy as costs more than a pint of beer very disappointed

Food here was absolutely delicious. The girls on front where lovely. Chef, credit too you the food was delicious and the presentation was 10/10 also along with the flavours to back up the plate. Sunday roast 2 for £17 absolute bargain for the quality food your get all in with drinks well under £30

Nice friendly pub. Good atmosphere and really good food. We will definitely be returning on our next race day. 🙂🙂🙂

We had a great birthday meal in here very very friendly staff food was served promptly and hot and very well presented forgot to take pictures of the main. Inside there is a lovely warm atmosphere very well decorated in a nice tasteful contrast of modern contemporary and classic Old English pub. The facilities were clean and the 1 way system was clear. Plenty of hand gel strategically placed and most importantly was not over crowded inside we were able to quite easily keep away from the other guests would recommend to all.

Fantastic menu, really different to the normal pub grub, amazing taste, coming back for more.😋
